Instead of letting the magic system build on itself, the dev just made it so that any spell used would be consumed, and also the amount of magic points was increased, so it didn’t really seem that useful. The battle system is just as boring as the rest of the game. You and the enemy start off at the same places at the same times, and they both spread out and attack in random directions. You move around a bit, fight the enemy, get a little farther along, and repeat. I found the difficulty to be the same every single time, even if the enemy’s stats have been totally changed. So instead of being an interesting minigame for you and the enemy to strategize against each other, you just end up having to fight the same enemies over and over again, and if your enemy gets tired then you’re just going to lose.
